LeBron has more sway on the Lakers than anyone else and that clearly must change. The Lakers are a mess

The Lakers went through a decade of turmoil before LeBron came and delivered them a championship

He is partially to blame because of his roster preferences, and it is true that the franchise should have not let him have much sway, but their failures is mostly result of a shambled franchise.

If LeBron never comes they are basically better than the Kings for the last 10-12 years

LeBron's "*championship*" with the Lakers should have a huge asterisk by it, as it happened in the Disney World bubble.

They were the top seed in the West before the bubble.

The bubble took away any homecourt advantage they would have had, and also thwarted the momentum they had from a great regular seasion. It also gave teams like Miami a huge advantage, as a younger roster tends to be more bothered by a playoff crowd on the road than the one the Lakers had.

If anything, the bubble was a disadvantage for the Lakers

Brick's a one way player. His defense hurts. It's more laziness than anything else since he has the energy to jaw with the refs.

Maybe to little kids/emotional fans but most adults recognize there is always gonna be some caveat like that for people to detract from.

You could argue it was more impressive than normal because they had home court stripped from them which they would’ve had in a regular playoffs, but going that deep into it is more of a ESPN segment

If you bet the lakers that year, they paid that shit out incase anyone was wondering.

Will Lebron return to his Lakers team? Or will he hook up with some different superstar next year? The Nets? The Bucks? The 6'ers?

I'm pulling for the Clippers where he hooks up with Leonard, that would be cool and the ultimate bitch slap to another fan base

I don’t think he wants to leave LA at this point in his career, seems to enjoy it there and has a lot going on off the court. He is a celeb after all.

I think lakers prob eat shit next year, then in ‘23 he re-signs and Westbrook contract will be off books to replenish for one last run. He might be too old and AD too injured by then but it’s not a bad plan on paper.

if he can make a run at age 39-40 after being left for dead, it’ll be impressive but the league is probably just too good now.

I don’t see him doing anything like signing elsewhere to be the clear #2 guy on a team or going back to Cleveland though, he knows that’s lame as hell I’m sure

I don’t think he leaves LA after this season. Mainly because his son will be a senior and doesn’t want to move the family.

At least the Lakers have a lottery pick. Never mind, that goes to New Orleans

what an idiot to say he wants to play in the nba with his son over the all star break, forgot about that

if that kid can’t make it on his own, he better have a good therapist. That’s a brutal amount of pressure Bron put on him for no reason other than to make a headline.

I heard Bron’s kid is the 4th best player on his high school team.

bron’s ego is too big that he wants to play with his kid. He is hoping someone drafts his son higher than normal so his kid can get more $$ in an nba contract.

shit, let Bron’s kid go to college for a few years and enjoy himself

You guys are harsh. He is literally the 2nd best player to ever play the game.

If Davis doesn't get hurt and GM Lebron doesn't exist, they probably sitting #2 in the west.

Lebron much like Jordan before him---are terrible judges of talent. Lebron also lets friendship(westbrook) get in the way of actual cold blooded decision making. Lebron is a genius on the basketball court but a genius in all aspects of basketball(team construction, salary cap etc) he aint----but his ego tells him he is...
